CROWN LIFTING
Crown lifting involves the removal of some of the lower branches of the crown, or removing parts of these branches. So that we lower the risk of displacing too much of the canopy weight (making it top heavy), we tend not to lift the tree by more than a third of its total height.
CROWN HEIGHT
Much thought is given when choosing the correct height for a crown to be lifted to, as whenever a branch is removed from a tree trunk, a wound is created. We like to avoid any risk of disease or decay.
