CROWN THINNING

We are often asked to thin a crown canopy to allow more light into our customers gardens. Another advantage to crown thinning is that it allows wind to travel through the tree, improving the trees sustainability in gales or storms.

WIND PROTECTION

If a tree is thick enough to already block out the wind, then this practice would be unsuitable, as it would have an adverse effect, allowing the wind to enter the tree to damage branches.
